Worming

Protecting Public Health and Your Pets

In Western Europe 44% of the human population have been infected by roundworms at some point during their lives. The main reason we worm pets relates to public health but of course we need to protect our cats and dogs as well.

If your pet appears to be in good health it’s easy to become complacent about worming. Why go to the expense and hassle of trying to get a tablet in them every few months if they seem to be perfectly fine?

The answer is simple. Tapeworm, roundworm, lungworm, hookworm, heartworm, whipworm and eyeworm – they're all just as nasty as they sound.

They can live off your pet for weeks or months without your pet showing noticeable symptoms yet during that time they can be doing lasting damage to your pet’s respiratory, cardiovascular and digestive system as well as other internal organs. They can even prove fatal.

Regular Worming is Vital

Worming regularly, and with a broad spectrum, ‘vet strength’ treatment, is the only way to ensure any worms already inside aren’t allowed to mature and go on to affect your pet’s health.

Worming kittens and puppies is essential for their well being then worming them into adulthood and beyond offers protection throughout their lives. We only recommend what we consider to be the best and the safest products. Don't be duped by non-vet-strength supermarket or pet-shop products. You may be surprised to learn that our products generally cost less per day than most supermarket products and are safer and more efficacious.

Milpro Palatable wormers for Dogs, Cats, Puppies and Kittens

MILPRO Contains Milbemycin oxime and praziquantel. It treats and prevents all dog and cat worms and is licensed for the prevention of lungworm in dogs too.

We recommend monthly worming for pets in contact with children or women of childbearing age, and for pets who regularly go and sniff around where other pets go. We recommend monthly worming for dogs to prevent lungworm, and for most cats regular worming every 3 months.
